Last Spring I decided I would like a book with ideas of things to do with children outside- I borrowed several different books from the library but my favourite was definitely “101 Things for Kids to do outside” by Dawn Isaac.
It is a fantastic book full of a very wide range of creative activities to do ranging from scavenger hunts to holding a mini Olympics to painting snow. Each activity has clear “You will need:” list, instructions and tips as well as beautiful photos. There are ideas to do in the garden as well as out and about including at the park and at the beach. At the back of the book it has a useful part where the activities are arranged into categories e.g. “Good for younger children (4-7 year olds)” and “Good for autumn”.
Last year we got the idea to make these wonderful Spring bracelets from this book.
We also liked “365 outdoor activities you have to try!” for useful ideas. Also this book is small so could be taken out and about with you!
Happy exploring! Xx
