Hello everyone, I hope you had a good March. Here is my monthly post where I look back at the month and share some of the things we have been reading, creating and loving!
Thank you once again for reading my blog!
At bedtime Tom and I have been reading “Gangsta Granny” by David Walliams. I have read a few of David Walliams picture books and haven’t been overly impressed but “Gangsta Granny” is a really great book. It is a well written book which deals with family relationships and the loss of a Grandparent. It made us loud out loud and made me cry at the end!
This month I read “Everything, Everything” by Nicola Yoon, it is a story about choosing love and life despite the odds! It is deals with issues of child abuse which are heart breaking but it does have a positive outcome. A good easy to read novel!
Scrap painting is one of my new favourites! I have added it to my favourite creative activities post.
We have started doing some Easter crafting too (I have updated my Easter craft post).
These are the little things I have loved and smiled about this month:
My sister and her husband did a sponsored stair climb to raise money for hearing loss awareness- it was really great to see them do something positive at a really difficult time.
We have finally had two of our ceilings plastered as well as Tom’s room painted! Tom’s room looks great, even though we have more bits still to do. It was a little sad to see the room change from the decor we choose when Tom was in my tummy to a much more grown up bedroom! Stop growing up!
A Chinese takeaway in bed when we were camping out in Tom’s room before the plastering was done!
We have had some lovely Spring sunshine again this month. We enjoyed some lovely days out including Tilgate park with my parents and Box hill with friends.
The joy of Tom giving me my mother’s day gifts and card, then making me breakfast in bed! Smile!
Thanks for reading, hope you had a good March, I’d love to know what you have been reading, creating and loving, you can use the hashtag #readcreatelove to let me know! Happy March everyone xxx
