Chinese New Year process art!

red paint (any we used liquid watercolour),

paintbrushes (we used a wide flat brush for red paint),

gold paint (we used straight out of a squeezy bottle but could do with a brush)

Black paint

Optional: cardboard.

First we painted large red random marks and squeezed gold paint over the top. We then left the paint to dry. With the older children they used paint to write Chinese symbols and with the younger children we made random black marks using an edge of cardboard dipped in paint.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! xx
