How to make a simple owl!

2016-11-23 13.46.33 (2).jpg

A cute simple owl which is great for young children.

Need: egg box, scissors, glue, feathers, brown and white paint, black pen.

Cut the egg box in half and then cut out the eyes. Firstly we painted the box brown. Then glued feathers all over the inside of the lid. On the eye piece – paint a circle of white paint for the eyes. Once all the paint and glue is dry, glue the eyes onto the lid and draw a black circle on the white eyes.

All complete!

Here are some lovely owl story books:

“The owl who was afraid of the dark” by Jill Tomlinson

“Owl babies” by Martin Waddell

“Hoot owl, master of disguise” by Sean Taylor

“A bit lost” by Chris Haughton.

Happy making and reading! xxx
