This is a simple idea which children love particularly the part where they use a hammer, it gets very noisy!
Need: plain piece of fabric, flowers, hammer/mallet, stick, pipe cleaner, beads.
We collected flowers and berries on the way back from the park and from our garden. We placed them on the fabric, folded over the fabric and then started using the hammer to bash away! We opened the fabric, removed the bashed flowers, to reveal the natural pigments left on it. We finished it off by adding a handle- we made to slits in the fabric and threaded through the stick. We threaded beads onto a pipe cleaner and twisted it around the stick to create a handle. Finally it is ready to hang!
Happy creating! xxx
