I have been super excited to get started on the #30dayswild challenge in June. #30dayswild challenges us to do something outside for 30 days throughout June.
So week one……..
What I have enjoyed the most so far has been the smaller moments, during the holidays and weekends we do tend to get outside but it has been great to think about those busy days when outside isn’t on the natural agenda.
On Friday, we had plans for friends to visit us….. the weather was forecasted rainy and cold…….. our garden was a no go as it was being worked on……….but we did need to pick up something from the shop so we decided to do a slight detour to the park to play pooh sticks…….. it was a very short time but it was a lovely moment which would have been missed because of day to day busyness.
Another great moment was after school on a very wet day when I said I am not sure what we can do for our #30dayswild. Tom quickly suggested going in the garden and look for snails as they love the rain…..so that is what we did!
#Day1 – Tree climbing……….. this is one of Tom’s favourite activities!
#Day2 – Exploring the gardens in Eltham palace. The gardens are stunning, I highly recommend a visit!
#Day3- Pooh sticks at the local park.
#Day4- Stickman hunt at Alice Holt forest.
#Day5- Picnic on Blackheath
#Day6- Sky watching.
#Day7- Snail watching in the rain.
I am excited to do lots more outside in the next couple of week! For a regular update check us out on Instagram @readcreatelove
