Well deserved…… “The day the crayons quits” winner of Red House Children’s book 2015

So pleased to hear “The day the crayons quits” by Drew Daywalts and Oliver Jeffers has won the Red house Children’s book 2015. We love this book, anything that Oliver Jeffers has to do with has to be a winner! Oliver Jeffers drawings are unsurprisingly fantastic, children love them and they work so brilliantly with Drew Daywalts words. The idea that a child’s crayons are not happy and write letters of complaint is genius! The children particularly find the poor naked peach crayon very funny! I first borrowed this book from the library but we had to have our own copy! Looking forward to the sequel later this year “The day the crayons came home”.the-day-the-crayons-quit
